COOKIES & TRACKING
Cookie & Tracking Policy
LAST UPDATED 25 AUGUST 2026
This page lists everything LumaCraft Kits stores in your browser, what each item is for, and how to change your mind. “Cookies” here covers cookies proper and the other browser storage a site can use, because from a privacy point of view they do the same job.
The short version: we store what the shop needs to function, and nothing for analytics or advertising unless you turn it on. Browsing and buying works fully with everything optional switched off.
The categories we use
Optional categories are off by default. Nothing in them loads until you accept, and turning them off later stops them again.
| Category | What it means |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary (always on) | Storage the shop cannot work without: your cart, and — for our own staff — the sign-in session. These are not used to track you and cannot be switched off, because switching them off would break the shop. |
| Preferences (optional) | Remembers choices you have made so you do not have to repeat them, such as your cookie choice itself and any display preference. |
| Analytics (optional, off by default) | Aggregate statistics about which pages are visited and how people move through the shop, so we can improve it. Not used to identify you personally. |
| Marketing / advertising (optional, off by default) | We do not currently run any advertising or re-targeting tags at all. The category exists so that if we ever do, it is off until you opt in — never switched on retroactively under a consent you gave for something else. |
What is actually stored right now
This is the complete list for an ordinary visit to the shop:
| Name / kind | Purpose, category and lifetime |
|---|---|
| Your shopping cart | Strictly necessary. Stored in your browser's own local storage — not a cookie, and never sent to us until you check out. Holds the jerseys, sizes and any printing options you picked. Stays until you clear it, empty your cart, or clear your browser data. |
| Your cookie choice | Preferences. Records which categories you accepted, when, and the policy version you were shown, so we do not ask again on every page and so we can tell if this policy has changed since. Stored in your browser. |
| Admin session cookie | Strictly necessary, staff only. Set only when a member of our team signs in to the admin dashboard. It is HTTP-only (JavaScript cannot read it) and Secure (sent over HTTPS only). It is never set for customers, and it is not present on a normal shopping visit. |
On a plain visit to this site, no advertising or analytics cookie is set at all and no tracking script runs.
Third parties your browser contacts
Some parts of the page are served from other companies’ servers. Loading a file from another server necessarily reveals your IP address to it, even when no cookie is involved — so we list them here rather than pretend the request does not happen.
| Service | What it does and what it can see |
|---|---|
| Cloudinary | Serves our product photos and video. Sees your IP address and browser as part of delivering the image. Sets no cookie for us and does not profile you. |
| Google Fonts | Serves our typefaces. Sees your IP address as part of delivering the font file. Sets no cookie. |
| Vercel | Hosts the site itself and handles your request. Keeps short-lived operational logs, which include IP addresses, for reliability and abuse prevention. |
| Google Analytics | Only if you accept the analytics category. Until then the script is not loaded and no analytics cookie is created. If you accept, it records aggregate usage with your IP address handled in truncated form. |
| Safaricom / Paystack | Contacted only when you pay, and only from our server — not from your browser. Neither sets a cookie on this site. |
Changing your mind
Your choice is not permanent. You can change or withdraw it whenever you like, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting — one click from the same panel, with no dark patterns and no “are you sure” obstacle course.
- Use the Privacy settings link in the footer of every page. It reopens the same panel you first saw, with your current choices shown.
- Or clear this site’s data in your browser settings, which forgets your choice and puts you back to everything-optional-off.
Turning a category off stops the corresponding scripts from loading on your next page view, and we instruct the tag not to use previously granted storage. Data already collected while consent was active is handled under our Privacy Policy — and you can ask us to delete it.
Blocking strictly-necessary storage in your browser will stop the cart from working. That is a limitation of how carts work, not a penalty for declining.
Global privacy signals
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decision not to consent to the optional categories, and we do not ask again while it is set.
Changes to this policy
This policy carries a version stamp. If we add a tracker or change what a category covers, the version changes and we ask for your choice again rather than carrying an old consent forward onto something you never agreed to.
